创办人Maloof兄弟是NBA萨克拉门托队的老板，他们以前每年办篮球夏令营。自08年起，他们创办了这项比赛，除了SpoTampa的人说这比赛就是奖金没有感情外，这项比赛在商业化的成功确实是不可小觑的，毕竟在此前，还没有哪个单项赛事是没有大牌电视台参与就能这样举办的，看看美国的XG和Dew Tour，还是因为有ESPN和NBC。今年的MMC还能和FOX电视台合作，令人震惊。
